Non Pavilion, V&A, 2019
[Curator and project manager - independent project]
Commissioned by the V&A for London Design Festival, Non-Pavilion was an installation about the dangers of our addiction to exponential economic growth. Against the background of our Baugespeanne-inspired Non Pavilion, visitors were invited to confront the absurdity of growth and contemplate possible alternatives via six newly-commissioned Augmented Reality experiences. Whether contemplative, humourous or dark, each thought-provoking story was an invitation to learn more about economics and its impact at a macro level, as well as reflect on our own relationship to production and consumption.
Non Pavilion was a collaboration between Studio MiCat, There Project (Sarah Turner and Justine Boussard), and Proud Studio. Artists included Arne Hendriks, Radical Norms, Leo Murray and LucienneRoberts+ who also created the graphic identity. It was shortlisted for the Dezeen Awards 2020, installation category.
